Ethan Gildmore
Ethan resents his father for a variety of reasons including the suspicion he was responsible for his mother’s death, his perceived abandonment during his youth, his father’s refusal to share details of any extended family members, his cutting him off financially and of course his moving on and desire for a new family with Vivian
Ethan has planned a fake kidnap to scare his father into showing he cared and also, of course, to raise a little money for himself.
Ethan and Al were the males seen chasing Bertie dressed as gorillas shortly before his death. They then diverted into the park and were later seen walking out the opposite gate.
Ethan can be seen with the gorilla mask still in his hand as he argues with the police officer and reporter in the December 3rd broadcast.

Tom
Tom is the brother of Bertie’s first wife, Florence.
Born Theodore Vann he was taken into the care system when his parents died following a car accident and later joined the army.
Tom manipulated his way to becoming Bertie’s bodyguard in order to spend some time with his nephew Ethan.
Remember the Tom Vann / Vause/ Theo of the call log. This was your first clue that Tom was not who he seemed to be, his date of birth is also incorrect on the family tree. These were signs to look at him a bit closer.
Theo was on a flight to America to take up a new position at the time Bertie was also flying through the air.

Kendra Bishop
Bertie is the bane of Kendra’s life.
He treats her like a general dogsbody and even had her following the organised crime gang around Leicestershire before then taking the credit himself.
Kendra claimed to have been working at the soup kitchen at the time of Bertie’s death but we know this to be false.
Her online gaming record shows her playing away as she does most nights.

Chen Wei
Chen is the leader of a triad gang who suffered at the hands of Bertie’s wannabe hero complex.
As a result of Bertie (secretly Kendra’s) hard work Chen lost some of his best henchmen and he is furious about it
Chen was delivering takeaway food at the time of Bertie’s murder.
Like many a small business owner before him he is having to do every job within the business.
He is mentioned in the incident list as the driver of the blue jaguar which had been hit with eggs.
This is why his car then appears at the Machajdikova garage having work done to repair the damaged paintwork.
Further alibi evidence can be found cross referencing his responses to just eat reviews and the jungle drums on face space.

Viv Gildmore
Viv married a monster and was planning her escape.
We know Bertie is a controller and that she was siphoning off money in order to escape with the help of her siblings.
Vivian did leave the fundraiser early however at the time of Bertie’s death she was collecting migraine meds from the late night pharmacy.

Declan Maison
Declan is sick and tired of the way Bertie treats him.
He is also a little bit of a psychopath.
Declan should have been in London at the high rollers event however he spotted that a large sum of money had been taken from the company account.
Instead of heading to London he went to the office to try and find out what was happening as he had arranged with the bank for a 24 hour fraud hold on the money leaving the Fortune and Maison account.
While there he heard Bertie’s answerphone message and so knew where he would be.
We know he left the office as the cleaners would have complained or at least mentioned not being able to get into his office during their rounds.
While his own car was being repaired he had the use of the Tow and Go rental which he dumped after the crash.
